  • A Barcelona workshop brought 11 Andorran MICE suppliers together with about 15 Catalan corporate travel and events agencies to present winter-season.

The Andorra Convention Bureau held a workshop in Barcelona this week that brought together eleven member companies from Andorra’s MICE sector and around fifteen Catalan travel and event agencies specialising in corporate travel and event organisation. The event aimed to present the destination’s winter-season offerings and reinforce Andorra’s position as a venue for congresses, incentives and corporate events.

Participants included a range of local providers — among them the Centre de Congressos, Caldea, Grandvalira Resorts, Unnic, Evenia and Sport Hotel Hermitage — and other operators such as SkiServeis, Hotel Starc, Hotel Plaza, Andorra Park Hotel and Arthotel. Prominent Catalan agencies in attendance included Viajes El Corte Inglés, BCD Meetings and BMC Global.

Presentations highlighted new winter proposals that combine specialised infrastructure, quality accommodation and incentive activities tailored to meetings and corporate programmes, emphasising assets that make Andorra competitive for conferences, incentives and corporate gatherings during the winter season.

After the presentations, delegates took part in a networking lunch designed to foster contacts, generate business opportunities and strengthen future collaborations between Andorran suppliers and Catalan agencies.

The workshop is part of the bureau’s broader strategy to consolidate Andorra as a leading MICE destination by leveraging winter’s potential. Created under the umbrella of Andorra Turisme in 2010, the Andorra Convention Bureau currently comprises 33 private-sector members active in the business tourism segment.
