  • Caldea has begun replacing the tower’s glass to prepare for a planned hotel while overhauling its digital systems.

Caldea has entered a new phase of its transformation programme, beginning with the replacement of the tower’s glass as a preparatory step ahead of construction of a planned hotel, and launching a deep renewal of its digital systems.

Amazon Web Services has awarded Caldea a quality seal for the new technological architecture designed in this preparatory phase, validating it against the Well‑Architected Tools criteria. The planned digital infrastructure is presented as an innovative, scalable and secure solution built on cloud services, intelligent automation and process optimisation.

To obtain the recognition, Caldea said it met AWS requirements across the Well‑Architected Framework pillars: technological innovation to address complex challenges; scalability and resilience to ensure high availability as systems grow; robust security and regulatory compliance; cost optimisation and operational efficiency; and demonstrable business impact and sustainability.

“This achievement reflects our commitment to digital transformation and innovation, positioning us as a reference in designing ecosystems able to meet the most demanding global standards,” Caldea director Miguel Pedregal said, highlighting the milestone as part of the centre’s broader modernization and future hotel project.
