El Poblet de Nadal in Andorra la Vella will increase its activities for the Puríssima long weekend. From 4 to 8 December the Christmas market and the Neret area will be open every day, with food stalls, live music and DJ sessions at midday and in the afternoon to welcome visitors and residents.

Permanent attractions will run throughout the week, including the Trenet dels Desitjos (Train of Wishes), the Enigma installation at the Bici Lab Andorra museum, the virtual‑reality experience La Ciutat dels Contes at the Congress Centre, and the Magic Post Office and Christmas carousel on Plaça Guillemó. On the evenings of the weekend, two large itinerant shows will travel along Avinguda Meritxell to Plaça Príncep Benlloch from 18:30: Bambolea’s Móvil on Saturday and Giant & Baby Dundu by the Dundu company on Sunday.

Organisers say the reinforced timetable and daily openings are intended to accommodate higher visitor numbers over the holiday period and to broaden programming for both residents and tourists.

Other parishes are also staging festive events. Ordino opened its traditional Christmas fair with a family show titled Entre voliaines i menairons, written by Anna Font; the fair remains open until 8 December across Plaça de la Closa and Carrer Major, with artisan stalls and local products. The parish’s seasonal programme includes a “Cercle Màgic” route linking installations such as the school of menairons, Santa’s sleigh workshop in Cortinada, the Mola de Cal Pal and the serradora, and organisers say around 30 activities will run through to after Epiphany.

Sant Julià de Lòria launched the 41st Fira de Santa Llúcia alongside the official Christmas lights switch‑on. The event features about 25 stalls offering seasonal goods and local gastronomy, plus concerts, children’s activities and workshops; the weekend programme also includes a presentation by the Andorra Taste stage prepared by chef Carles Flinch. Local officials describe these fairs as important community meeting points that let residents enjoy Christmas offerings without having to travel outside their parish.

La Massana marked the start of its festive season with a participatory lights switch‑on that involved children’s and youth groups, music performances and a communal chocolate‑sharing event, underscoring the local, community‑centred character of the parish celebrations.
