The Andorran pétanque team has qualified for the 2026 Triples World Championship in Malaysia after finishing the European qualifying phase in Belvaux, Luxembourg, with four wins in five matches. The tournament took place at the Boulodrome national from 29 November to 1 December.
Nineteen national teams competed for nine remaining European berths. After five rounds under the Swiss system, Andorra ended at the top of the standings, tied with three other nations, securing one of the qualifying places with a 4–1 record.
The Andorran Federation described the result as a very positive experience and said the achievement will strengthen the team’s preparation ahead of the Games of the Small States of Europe, scheduled for Monaco in May 2027.
