The Andorran Olympic Committee (COA) has completed its renewal of athlete representation with the appointment of Olympic canoeist Mònica Doria as a voting member of the Permanent Commission. The post was chosen by the Athletes’ Commission and subsequently validated by the Permanent Commission in accordance with the COA statutes.
The selection process began with a review and update of the register of athletes who have competed internationally in the past 12 years, as required by the rules governing the Athletes’ Commission. Three candidacies were submitted to the Athletes’ Commission — Mimi Gutiérrez, Nàdia Tudó and Pol Moya — while the Permanent Commission also proposed Irineu Esteve and Mònica Doria, taking into account candidates’ career trajectories and representativeness within Andorra’s Olympic movement.
With final validation from the Permanent Commission, Doria has officially joined the COA’s executive body as a voting member, strengthening athlete representation within the committee’s leadership.
