The Centre de Congressos d’Andorra la Vella has opened Fairy Tales — La Ciutat dels Contes, the country’s first multiuser virtual reality attraction, as part of the town’s Poblet de Nadal programme. The installation runs until 5 January and is hosted in the Sala Consòrcia.

Created by Andorran studio blit.studio with support from the Comú d’Andorra la Vella and Myandbank, the 25‑minute interactive adventure accommodates up to 45 participants at once. Designed for family audiences aged six and over, the experience is offered in four languages and the venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Visitors join a shared search for the lost character Grandma Valentina, moving through VR universes inspired by classic tales such as Hansel and Gretel, Aladdin, Pinocchio, the Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty and Puss in Boots. The route combines symbolic elements, emotional moments and visual references to traditional storytelling; sequences include flying over a city, entering a whale’s belly and riding Aladdin’s carpet.

Organisers ran technical trials with around 60–70 volunteer participants, including local authorities, in the hours before the public opening. Promoters reported that the mass tests confirmed the system’s operation and left attendees enthusiastic; more than 1,000 tickets had already been sold ahead of the launch and organisers expect demand to grow during the holiday period.

The VR system displays other participants as avatars and detects room boundaries to reduce the risk of accidental collisions. Tickets are available at blit.studio/fairytales and andorralavella.ad/nadal.
