In 2025 the Andorran government's volunteer programme engaged 915 people across 14 events, the administration said. The year was dominated by the Games of the Small States of Europe in May, where 530 volunteers helped run the competition.

Volunteers also supported cultural and sporting fixtures including Cirque du Soleil, the Morabanc Andorra basketball season, several road races and the passage of La Vuelta a España. The government said their contribution helped ensure the smooth delivery of these events and reinforced civic participation.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Mònica Bonell praised the volunteers as “the best ambassadors of the country” who left “an indelible mark,” and said the government will continue to back organisations and promote spaces for altruistic participation that strengthen the social fabric. She described volunteering as “a tool for transformation and a motor of hope” built through collective involvement.

To mark International Volunteer Day the Youth and Volunteering Promotion Area held a celebration recognising the work of those who made the year’s events possible. At the event, Secretary of State for Youth and Sports Alain Cabanes presented the new kit that volunteers will wear at future activities.

The Youth and Volunteering Promotion Area maintains a fixed roster of 175 volunteers who take part in events where government volunteers are present; 24 people joined that roster in 2025.
