A vehicle crashed on the CG-2 at l'Aldosa de Canillo shortly before midday, with the police receiving the alert at 12:05. A patrol that attended the scene confirmed the collision caused only material damage to the car, whose front end was heavily damaged and came to rest across the carriageway, blocking one of the two lanes.
The incident occurred on the downhill stretch near the Cascada de Moles, a particularly shaded section of the road just before the centre of Canillo. Police officers are carrying out the necessary diligences to clarify what happened; it is not known whether anyone was injured.
Authorities say removal work is under way to clear the vehicle, which is positioned in the right-hand lane. The mobility service reported the crash did not cause traffic hold-ups. Among the possible factors being considered is the presence of ice on the road, which is common in that area in early-morning conditions.
